Our 30th October talk ‘A Beginner’s Guide to the Planets‘ was jointly presented by 5 members who covered 7 planets. The Sky diary followed presented by Darren.

Our guest speaker for September was Paul Fellows, MA FIET FRAS who presented a talk in the Quarry on The Winchcombe Meteorite.

Our August 2024 talk was a multi-member event and the last in our summer section of short member presentations. Bob Wickens spoke about Meteorites, Dawn Sexton presented Features in the Sky and Peter Hudson spoke about The Sun.

30 inch UPDATE
UPDATE on the 30 inch … which has had its first light at its new home in La Palma. This weekend (July 6), it has afforded excellent views of M22, The Lagoon, Trifid and M57. But it now seems a taller ladder is required to get more of those higher objects !
