To celebrate increasing Solar activity and the new filters installed in the Society solar telescopes, we will be setting up a range of solar instruments on Sunday 11th June from 11-12 at the Observatory.
Provided it’s a clear blue sky day we will have several PSTs, along with white light telescopes. We will also demonstrate how to use the PSTs which are available for members to borrow. If you have not used one before and are unsure how to get the best out of the instrument please ask.
One very important thing to bring is a medium sized towel or similar covering.
Think old fashioned plate camera photographer, it makes a huge difference. Please bring your own. Also if like me you are a little ‘thin on top’ remember to wear a hat!
The Twitter feed on the website will be updated on Sunday morning should clouds interfere.
