Asteroid 3200 Phaethon

Dear all

On Monday 11th December, there is a good opportunity to see the asteroid Phaethon – the parent of the Geminid Meteor Shower.

The weather is forecast to be clear, so the we are planning to hold an observing session. Linton and Phil will make a tour of the observatory on Monday afternoon to determine feasibility – given the recent weather, we may not even be able to open the dome – and will tweet updates during Monday afternoon.

As always, keep your eyes on the Twitter feed and we’ll keep you updated – please do not travel without checking!
